Albright College Partnering with Elite Performance Solutions to Impact Resilience

Beginning this fall with a pilot group of 100 student-athletes, Albright College is partnering with Elite Performance Solutions, Inc. (EPS), to add neuroperformance training as another component to improve student resiliency and wellness.

Elite Performance Solutions provides bespoke research-proven testing, tracking and training programs used worldwide to improve neuroperformance skills. As part of the initial roll out, Albright’s field hockey, tennis and golf teams, as well as members of the college’s football and esports teams will utilize Cognitive Combine, an FDA cleared neurocognitive assessment to shape individualized brain training programs.

Brain training will include EPS neurofeedback software to improve attention and recovery along with a suite of tools to strengthen cognitive vital signs such as memory, processing speed and decision making.

“Resiliency is a core value at Albright,” said Rick Ferry, Albright’s co-director of athletics and head men’s basketball coach. “This partnership will provide opportunities for greater attention to personal well-being and give our student athletes better opportunities to respond to evolving challenges and help them to reach their full potential.”

Albright College will also be the first program to develop a neuroperformance laboratory to assist STEM education and incorporate brain fitness into student wellness programming. The endeavor aims to help students elevate their cognitive skills, leading to more success through graduation.

Based in California, and led by co-founders Tom Nugent and Steve Miller, Ph.D., Elite Performance Solutions aims to make Neuroscience and brain health more accessible to everyone through their brain fitness platform.

“Through our training paradigms we are able to see significant, persistent, measurable changes indicating faster processing, better attention and the ability to complete more cognitive work with less cognitive effort,” said Nugent, who has over 20 years of experience in neuroscience research and program management working with elite organizations ranging from professional sports and esports teams, to special operator communities in the U.S. military and abroad. “Put simply, we build actionable, measurable metrics that address our clients most pressing cognitive assessment needs.”
