Empowering Albright Voices day keynote

Speaker Ali Michael, Ph.D., co-director of the Race Institute for K-12 Educators, works with organizations across the country to help make research on race, whiteness, and education more accessible and relevant to educators. A full slate of Empowering Albright Voices day events (March 1) will celebrate allyship in action.
The Androne Lecture on Literature Written in English
March 5, 7 p.m., Albright Center for Arts, Klein Lecture Hall.
Presenter Jean Kwok is an award-winning New York Times and international bestselling author who has been published in 20 countries. Her novels include Searching for Sylvie Lee, Girl in Translation, Mambo in Chinatown, and The Leftover Woman.
18th Annual Richard J. Yashek Memorial Lecture
March 20, 7:30 p.m., Albright McMillan Center, south lounge.
Speaker Karen Frostig is a public memory artist, writer, cultural historian, activist, professor of art at Lesley University, and scholar at the Women Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. Her art exhibit The Holocaust in Personal and Public Memory, will be featured at the Albright College Freedman Gallery throughout the spring semester.

James J. Gallagher Memorial Lecture
April 4, 7 p.m., Albright Center for Arts, Klein Lecture Hall.
“Heat Waves, Frequent and Extreme Storms: Reading the Fourth Gospel in the Context of Climate Change” will be presented by Musa W. Dube, Ph.D., the William Ragsdale Cannon distinguished professor of the New Testament at Candler School of Theology at Emory University.
Donald F Reinhold, Ph.D. ’44 Memorial Chemistry and Biochemistry Lecture
April 26, 3 p.m., Albright Science Center Lecture Hall.
Professor Ross J. Salawitch Ph.D. specializes in the quantification of the effects of human activity on the composition of Earth’s atmosphere using computer models and observations at the University of Maryland, College Park.
