6th Annual West Reading Craft Pretzel & Beer Fest to Return April 27
Unique Snacks.

The West Reading Craft Pretzel & Beer Fest is the only festival that features our area’s founding crafts, pretzels and beer. The 2024 festival will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 6th annual festival is free and open to the public and features live music starting at noon from Bad Slice, Mighty Joe Castro and The Gravamen, and Shaker.

Officials will shut down the 500-700 blocks of Penn Avenue in West Reading to create a pedestrian-friendly corridor. West Reading businesses and local vendors will line the avenue offering a variety of pretzel-themed merchandise, snacks, and pretzel-inspired dishes in celebration of this annual event and National Pretzel Day celebrated the day prior.

You can pay as you go for food and drinks or partake in a ticketed tasting, sampling our region’s best locally made pretzels and beer. Ticketed tasters sample up to 40 regional and home brews and choose their favorite home brewer to win a brew session with Pagoda City Brewing. VIP ticket holders get early access to the tasting and also enjoy an exclusive Happy Hour event earlier that week at Pagoda City Brewhouse in Reading. VIP and General Admission tasting tickets are limited and can be found at visitwestreading.org.

Neil Devlin, Business Operations Manager at Unique Snacks, noted, “We are excited to partner again with WRCRF as a sponsor and also enjoy a fun day with the community. We’ve always enjoyed participating in this event and watch it grow over the years. Our local region has such a deep history tied to making pretzels with all the great businesses that have existed here. Unique has been proudly making pretzels in Berks County for over 100 years, so we’re obviously a little biased with how much we enjoy Pretzel Day. So to be able to be part of an event like this is something we look forward to every year!”
