Lancaster Parks and Recreation will present a program about the Hubble Telescope on Wednesday, July 23rd at 6 PM at the Wyomissing Public Library. The program is free and open to the public; the library is located at 9 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing.
The Hubble Telescope was launched in April, 1990, long after Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Named in honor of astronomer Edwin Hubble, it is, according to the NASA website, “the most significant advance in astronomy since Galileo’s telescope” four hundred years ago.
The library program will review the history and future of the telescope, and will include 30 plus of the best photographs taken by it.
