Breast Cancer Support Services announces newly appointed Board member

West Reading – Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County is pleased to announce that Dr. Matthew Flannery has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors. The staff and volunteers congratulate and welcome Matt to the BCSS family.

Dr. Flannery is a Berks County native and is currently working for the Chester County Intermediate Unit as a Special Project Coordinator. In this role, he is responsible for the coordination and completion of special projects with Chester County school districts and oversees all aspects of the Chester County Intermediate Unit administration on strategic initiatives at client school districts. Previously Dr. Flannery worked for the Coatesville Area School District and the Wilson School District in cabinet level administrative positions.

Dr. Flannery received his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership & Administration and has served the faculty, students and parents of both Berks and Chester Counties during his career. In addition to serving on the BCSS Board of Directors he will also Co-Chair the Finance Committee as well as share his expertise in human resources, policy development, program evaluation, public relations and community service.
