Reading, PA — The Berks County Office of Elections is aware that the incorrect date for Election Day was listed on the Spanish side of the instruction sheet included with the first batch of mail-in ballots. The instructions were corrected last week to include the correct date. The deadline for the return of mail-in ballots is 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
County officials recognize that this was an unfortunate oversight that occurred when the instructions were updated from what was used for the May 18 primary election.
The County continues to work diligently to make our residents aware of all deadlines related to the election. A letter will be sent out this week to all voters who received the instructions that had the incorrect deadline on the Spanish side, noting the error and reinforcing the November 2 deadline.
