Empire Home Center has been the place to go in Berks County for Kitchens, Bath, Flooring, Furniture and Home Décor since 1955 and opened their first store on Route 12, next to the parent company, Empire Wrecking.  The O’Neill family recognized the value of antiques and building products from the wrecking industry.  Over time it became known as a Surplus store, selling mainly buybacks and liquidations.

In 2006 they expanded their offerings, to include brand new, running line items,  discontinued quality products and special order products.  Empire Home Center has now grown to 3 locations.

Empire now has a perfect mix of stylish in-stock products to discontinued quality products that you won’t find anywhere else. We offer a large selection of inventory that’s always moving, as well as special orders for Kitchens, Baths, Windows and Doors. They import over 200 containers per year of vanities, granite/quartz tops, toilets and pedestals made specially for Empire.  This gives them the ability to offer customers unique product at wholesale prices.

Their Leesport location is over 30,000 sq feet, where you could spend hours where you would find amazing home improvement products including 1000’s of vanities, faucets, hardware, flooring, tile, windows, doors, siding, furnishings and home décor. Just about anything and everything you need for your home can be found here!

After spending time on the avenue, they loved the spirit that Penn Avenue brings and instantly knew they needed to create an inviting space for home owners, contractors, remodelers and builders to design, choose their products and relax comfortably in the heart of Berks county.  Their clients wanted low-mid range prices in an environment where they can relax and see the design process occur. This location allows customers to sit down with their designers in a beautiful space, surrounded by all the current products and see their projects come to life through our design process from start to finish.

Their West Reading Showroom has plenty of space to relax and really appreciate the design elements and the details of kitchen and bath designs. The avenue is the perfect place for small businesses to bloom, and they are so excited! They love the environment in West Reading and the community it is! Empire Home Design Center is so thrilled to be on Penn Avenue and they cannot wait to continue to serve Berks County residents in a hip new space that is totally jaw dropping!
