Family Science Night to be Presented by The Camel Project

The Camel Project announced on Friday, Oct. 20, that it will present its first Family Science Night at the Goggleworks Center for the Arts in Reading on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 5:30 p.m. as part of Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month.

Under the banner, Get kids & parents excited about all things S.T.E.M., parents and kids will join together to complete a science project they can take home after the event. The Science Explorers will be leading the project. There will also be vendors and community resources attending the event. Spectators are welcome.

Sponsors for the event include United Way Of Berks County and S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation. Mi Casa Su Casa Café and Wawa will provide snacks and light refreshments.

“Our mission is to eliminate the bullying behaviors, and one of our methods is to build stronger relationships within the family. How better than to create a spin art machine as a family?” said Pamela S. Gockley, Executive Director of The Camel Project. “We are humbled by the number of families who want to be part of our first Family Science Night.”

The event is free to families. Registration is required. More information is on The Camel Project website: https://thecamelproject.org.

The mission of The Camel Project is to assist individuals and organizations in changing the culture of bullying and unacceptable behaviors that result in violence, trauma, and abuse.
