Water Cooler Talk: Managing Stormwater with Trees and Forests

Join us for the Water Cooler Talk: Managing Stormwater with Trees and Forests event and gather around the virtual water cooler as one collective water resource community! Trees and forests play a significant role in reducing stormwater and pollutant loads and can be one of the most cost-effective and greenest approaches to managing stormwater. Explore the multiple ways that trees and forests reduce stormwater and associated nutrient and pollutant loads while they provide so many additional community benefits such as reducing summer temperatures and saving energy; sequestering carbon and removing air pollutants; increasing property values; and improving human health and mental wellness. Learn how MS4 communities can calculate nutrient reduction credits for new tree plantings.
