Four Night Wedding Feast Celebrates the First Oktoberfest

The Reading Liederkranz will be hosting a four-night dinner and music event in celebration of the first Oktoberfest, the wedding of Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Tickets are required and can be purchased online at ReadingLiederkranz.com/wedding-feast or by visiting our Club Wednesdays through Fridays, and select Saturdays. All tickets include admission, parking on-site, dinner (two options), dessert (two option), and entertainment.

Gates will open each night at 5 PM with our bar and kitchen open for service. Dinner will be served around 6-6:30 and bands will perform from 7 – 10 PM each night. Our line-up for performers include;

9/30 Wed – Mountain Folk Band – Local Berks artist Dave Kline and his band start off the celebration

10/1 Thu – The Continentals – DC’s own rocking polka group

10/2 Fri – Alex Meixner Band – The all-star from Allentown & his band will jam the “Wedding Night” away

10/3 Sat – Bavarski – We end the party with a bang on Sat with solid grooves from Bavarski

In addition, we will have Club favorite, Kermit “Dr Squezebox” Ohlinger, opening up the festivities each night and getting everyone in a good mood. Masks are required for entry and we will be following CDC / State guidelines and social distancing. This is an outdoor event (rain or shine) in our lovely Grove area with plenty of space and tables to spread out.

Please join us one of these nights and help support a local club in Reading and Berks County since 1885. With Oktoberfest on hold this year, this event will be the club’s major fundraiser to help us recover and keep our wonderful Club open for all to enjoy. Prost!
