An Evening Reception at the Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

The Berks History Center will hold an evening reception from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on June 13, 2017 for friends, family and the general public in the Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, located at 940 Centre Avenue, Reading, PA 19601.

The Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (BCRRHOF) is a permanent exhibit at the Berks History Center that commemorates Berks County’s finest contemporary musicians. Join us as we celebrate the musical talents and history that make Berks County’s cultural heritage so unique.

During the reception participants will enjoy light refreshments, musical entertainment, and a casual meet & greet with members of the BCRRHOF. Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the BCRRHOF exhibit in addition to 12 other exhibits and galleries in the Berks History Center (BHC) museum. Following the reception, BHC will announce the new 2017 Inductees to the Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“Berks County has a vibrant and longstanding music culture. The Berks County Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was created to honor the musicians who have helped to shape our local contemporary music scene. As the stewards of Berks County’s heritage we strive to celebrate all aspects of our local history and the music of the past 60 + years is an important part of that legacy,” said Sime Bertolet, Executive Director, The Berks History Center, Reading, PA.

37 musicians and 12 bands were added to the BCRRHOF last year at BHC’s Annual Induction Ceremony at the Magical History Tour concert on August 20, 2016. This year BHC will induct 35 new musicians and 8 new bands, including the 2016 People’s Choice Award winners, at this year’s Magical History Tour concert on August 19, 2017.

Admission to the reception is $5.00 for non-members and free for members.
