Ferry Appointed to NCAA D3 Men’s Basketball Committee

Albright Men’s Basketball Head Coach and Co-Athletic Director Rick Ferry has been appointed to serve as a member of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Committee.

This is the second time in his 18-year stint with the Lions that Ferry has been elected to serve on the committee after he was a member from 2004-2007. One of the main roles of the committee is filling out the bracket come NCAA Tournament time in March, and Ferry will have a hand in picking the field for the upcoming 2019 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Committee administers and conducts full operation of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament which also includes selecting the weekly regional rankings that begin in early February.

Ferry is coming off being named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the third time in his career and leading Albright to its third NCAA Tournament appearance under his guidance. The Lions also made the MAC Commonwealth Tournament Championship game and 11th overall appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament under Ferry.
