One Love Project is hosting their “Amor & Esperanza Breakfast Fundraiser,” event, where families and friends can come together to support their community garden project that is going to take place at Hope Lutheran Church, 601 North Front Street, Reading, PA 19601.The fundraiser is happening on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022, from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM. The breakfast menu will include a short stack of pancakes, sausage, fruits and a breakfast drink all for $10.00. All profits are going back to the community garden project. Meals will be distributed at the right side entrance of the church. Seating will be available inside if wanting to enjoy your meal at the location.
The community garden cleanup will not be happening until Sunday, April 10th, 2022. Hope Lutheran Church will be accepting donations for the community garden after the first clean up since One Love Project will be doing regular maintenance on the garden for the entirety of the year and years to come. Their goal is to provide a safe space with frequent inspections and security for the community of Reading. If you are looking to volunteer and join the fun, this event is open to the public and will be taking place on April 10th, 2022, from 1 pm until 4 pm. One Love Project will also be accompanied by Public Works of Reading and Alvernia University. We will be focusing on cleaning up the garden, removing liter, removing plants, laying down new soil, painting and doing other tasks to get the community space ready for planting in May.
