Learn the basics of Alzheimer’s and dementia during this webinar.

In the United States alone, more than 6 million individuals live with Alzheimer’s disease, and 11 million people serve as their unpaid caregivers. Globally, the disease impacts an estimated 50 million people.  However, no one must face this disease alone or without information.

Penn State Extension is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide: Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia, an educational webinar that provides a general overview of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Who is this for?

The program is designed for persons facing a diagnosis, caretakers, and anyone interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

  • The difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia.
  • Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors.
  • Current research and treatments available to address some symptoms.
