Rep. Manny Guzman to Host Job Fair Wednesday

State Rep. Manny Guzman, D-Berks, announced that he will host a job fair to make it easier for his constituents to improve their chances to get a job. Guzman’s fair will bring together nearly 60 local employers that will be offering a wide range of positions to qualified candidates.

The Job Fair will take place Wednesday, Aug. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Olivet Boys and Girls Club, located at 1161 Pershing Blvd.

Guzman said his goal is to bring hope to families struggling with unemployment.

“I am committed to bringing resources to Reading. For many, the traditional recruiting process is not 100% effective, so it is why I am cutting red tape for my constituents, bringing opportunities to their doorstep,” Guzman said.

This fair will offer a business-casual atmosphere for the residents of the 127th Legislative District and the chance to be hired on the spot. Additionally, Guzman and his staff will be there to assist with state-related questions. For more information, contact Guzman’s office at 610-376-1529.
