Berks Women2Women to Host Evening of Empowerment

Join Berks Women2Women (W2W), a special program of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA), for an unforgettable Evening of Empowerment. This personally and professionally inspiring event will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Ballroom, Reading.

W2W will welcome keynote speaker Liz Murray as she recounts her journey from homelessness to Harvard, inspiring attendees to conquer any obstacle. Murray, who grew up with two drug-addicted parents and was homeless by age 15, completed and graduated high school in just two years. After overcoming the odds, she was offered a full scholarship to Harvard University. Her story is sure to uplift the audience.

In keeping with its mission of bringing all women together, as well as Murray’s story, W2W will be reaching out to organizations that work with women in transitional housing to have them attend. W2W hopes to work with those organizations to help remove any barriers that would prevent a woman from attending, such as the cost, lack of childcare, and access to proper attire or grooming items.

Traci Costa, President and CEO of ATHENA International, will also be joining us on the ATHENA Enlightenment Tour. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, grow, and be empowered!
