Lace up your sneakers, put on your glowing attire, and join Prospectus Berco and the Reading Royals for the fourth annual Harmony Walk at Santander Arena on Feb. 4, 2024. This year, we are featuring a 5K Glow Walk, so let us light up Santander Arena and pave the way for a more inclusive and supportive future for individuals with disabilities. Walkers can expect visits from Slapshot and members of the Reading Royals hockey team. The walk will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. before the 3 p.m. game on Feb. 4. People who participate in the walk and wish to attend the game can purchase tickets in advance and enjoy early admission.
Things to look forward to at this year’s event:
- Inclusive atmosphere: Designed to be accessible to all, regardless of ability. Whether walking, rolling, or strolling, everyone is encouraged to participate.
- Family-friendly: Bring your entire family for an unforgettable experience.
- Entertainment: Enjoy music with DJ Evelyn, visits with Slapshot, and walk a few laps with Reading Royal athletes.
- Glowing route: Walk the concourse of Santander Arena with an illuminated path that guides you.
- Glowing swag: Come dressed, ready to glow. Glow-in-the-dark accessories will be available for purchase as well.
- Fundraising opportunities: Participants are encouraged to raise funds to support Prospectus Berco and empower people with disabilities to live the lives of their choice in the communities where we live and work.
We offer several incentives for walkers and fundraisers:
- Every walker is entered into a drawing for a commemorative Reading Royals jersey.
- Raise $100: Get a free T-shirt and be entered into a drawing for the jersey (Based on each individual walker, even if part of a team.)
- Raise $500: Get a free T-shirt, four Reading Royals game vouchers, and be entered into a drawing for the jersey (Based on each individual walker, even if part of a team.)
Raise the most funds by Jan. 31 and receive four bench warmer passes, a free Harmony T-shirt, be entered into a drawing for the jersey, and four vouchers to see the Reading Royals.
People can register individually or as part of a team: Single registration is $20 per person or $15 per person if registering as part of a team (two or more walkers).
