A Sizzling Night of Hot Jazz with the Hot Club of Reading

The WCR Center for the Arts, located at 140 North Fifth Street in Downtown Reading, will kick off the 2023-24 season with an evening of great dance and music. Come learn about the building and our nonprofit’s fascinating history from local historian, Rick Polityka, beginning at 6:15pm, followed by dancing to music with the HOT CLUB of Reading at 7:00pm. Part 1920s New Orleans, part 1930s Paris, the Hot Club of Reading combines Gypsy Jazz with Hot Jazz to create an acoustic amalgam that really swings! Featuring Josh Taylor, Trey LaRue, Ken Gehret, Chris Heslop, and Adam Price.

Doors will open at 6:15 PM. Parking is available at Trinity Lutheran Church lot located on N. 5th St., between Washington & Walnut St., in downtown Reading.

Please join us at the WCR Center for the Arts on September 7. Learn about the WCR building and impressive history, come honor our great City of Reading’s 275th Anniversary, enjoy food and drink with friends in a Jazz Club atmosphere, AND help us celebrate our newly accessible historic hall.
